FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & POLICIES
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we do require an appointment for bridal consultations, especially on weekends. This allows us to give each bride the personalized attention she deserves. While we may occasionally be able to accommodate walk-ins, we kindly ask that you call ahead so we can check availability and ensure we’re able to welcome you properly.
When should I start shopping for my dress?
We recommend beginning your dress search 9–12 months before your wedding day. Most gowns take approximately 5–7 months to arrive after they are ordered. Starting early also allows plenty of time for alterations to ensure your gown fits perfectly for your special day. In some cases, rush options may be available—please feel free to ask!
How long does an appointment last?
Bridal appointments at Ivory & Vine last approximately 1.5 hours. This gives you time to explore different styles, try on gowns, and enjoy the experience with your loved ones in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
How many guests can I bring?
We recommend bringing 4–5 guests so everyone can sit comfortably and fully enjoy the experience with you. If you plan to bring a larger group, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate.
What is the price range of your gowns?
Our gowns vary in price depending on the designer and collection. We are happy to help you find something beautiful within your desired budget during your appointment.
What dress sizes do you carry?
Our sample gowns in the boutique typically range from sizes 10–16. However, most of our designers offer gowns that can be ordered in sizes 0–30, allowing us to find the perfect fit for every bride.
Policies
Are gowns considered final sale once they are ordered?
Yes, once a gown has been purchased and ordered, it is considered final sale. Because each dress is specially ordered through the designer just for you, we are unable to accept returns after the order has been placed.
Do brides place a deposit or pay in full when ordering a dress?
At Ivory & Vine, we kindly request that gowns be paid in full at the time of purchase. This allows us to immediately place your order with the designer and begin the process of having your gown made especially for you.
Do you allow exchanges or cancellations after an order is placed?
Because each gown is specially ordered through the designer, all sales are final once the order has been placed, and we are unable to offer exchanges or cancellations.
However, when your gown arrives at the boutique, our team carefully inspects it. If there are any issues—such as an incorrect size or a problem with construction details like the zipper or appliqués—we will gladly work with the designer to have it corrected.
Do you offer in-house alterations?
At this time, Ivory & Vine does not offer in-house alterations, and we do not currently provide a recommended seamstress. Many brides choose to work with a trusted local seamstress of their choosing to complete their alterations.
What happens if my wedding date is approaching quickly?
If your wedding is on a shorter timeline, please let us know. In some cases, rush orders or off-the-rack options may be available, and we will do our best to help you find the perfect gown in time.
